These Spider Web Halloween Earrings are fun to make and the perfect understated accessory for my favorite holiday! You may want to make a few extra sets for your favorite witches too!
It’s only the end of August so I’ve been patiently waiting to share these Spider Web Halloween Earrings with you but I just can’t wait any longer! I actually made these a year ago but not early enough to share a tutorial. Since then I’ve improved the little spider design and I can’t wait to wear these!
Spider Web Halloween Earrings
Materials needed:
- Hoop Earrings
- No Stretch Nylon Bead String
- Needle
- Black thread
- Self-Adhesive Black Rhinestones
- Aleene’s Glass & Bead Adhesive
Check out the video or follow instructions below!
Time needed: 1 hour
Use this simple technique to make these fun Spider Web Halloween Earrings with just a few supplies!
- Begin first layer of webs
Double knot the end of a 3 ft. long piece of bead string to the top of the earring. Trim off excess. Begin the web by wrapping the string around the edge of the earring wire. Pull through itself and then continue. You can get a better idea of what I mean in the video above.
- Complete first layer
Wrap the entire first layer of spider webbing around the earring.
- Second layer of webbing
With the first round of spider webs in place, add a needle to the end of the thread and push through the first section.
- Make second knot
Wrap the thread around the needle twice and then pull all the way through. You should have a line of thread connecting the first and second layer of spider webs now.
- Continue threading
Continue moving down the line of knots with the needle and thread. You’re basically just creating layer after layer of knots. Again, watch the video above to get a clearer picture of what I mean!
- Tie off center
Once you’ve gone all the way to the middle, use the needle and thread to tie off the center in one final knot. Cut off excess thread. Repeat steps 1-6 on another earring hoop.
- Gemstone spider construction
Cut 8 3″ sections from the black thread and layer on top of each other like the picture below. Add a self-adhesive rhinestone to the center and place on spider web earring.
- Secure spider
Turn spider web earring over and add a drop of bead glue to the back. Place another black rhinestone over the glue to sandwich the thread in between the two rhinestones. Repeat with the second smaller rhinestones.
- Trim & Wear!
Trim off the excess black thread for the spider legs and allow bead glue to harden completely. Wear & enjoy!
Spooky Spider Web Earrings
If you look closely, you can see the different spider design I used originally in the picture below. I love the look of the new rhinestone spiders! Plus, they’re so much easier to make then the previous hot glue versions. Win/win all around!
I know you’ll enjoy making these Spider Web Halloween Earrings as much as I did! They’re the perfect addition to your spooky Halloween attire!

Love the earrings, especially the tiny spiders. But I can’t find the video. Am I just missing it?

The video should be right before the instructions. Do you see it now?
