There’s a running joke in my family that we can tell I’m getting older because I 1. love beets 2. have started using house slippers and 3. can’t get enough holiday towels. None of those are particularly negative, they’re just indicators of my growing maturity (which I’m totally embracing. Yay for 38!)
Since I’m a big fan of holiday towels now, I thought it would be fun to make some Zombie Halloween Kitchen Towels to spookify the most widely used room in the house. Feel free to imagine me cooking beets, in my house slippers, with these towels nearby!
Easy As Brain Pie
Since I’ve already designed three different cutting files, this project would be super easy for you to recreate! Just download and cut the free Silhouette files out of heat transfer vinyl from Expressions Vinyl. There’s almost nothing more annoying than a design that isn’t cut all the way through, right? That’s why I absolutely love how easily Expressions Vinyl HTV weeds (the process of removing unnecessary vinyl). I’ve tried so many types of vinyl brands and EV is by far my favorite! (I would totally say this even if I didn’t have a partnership with them, btw.)
Last Step
Once all your designs have been weeded, stick in place in the desired location on your dish towels. I found these awesome Grey Dot Flour Sack Towels 4/pk from Target that cost less than 4 bucks! Perfect for zombie graphics, right? Also, I’m a big fan of ironing small projects with the Dritz Petite Press Portable Mini Iron since I can see exactly what area I’m working on. Plus, it doesn’t heat up my entire craft room!
Grab A Crowbar
My favorite part about these Zombie Halloween Kitchen Towels is the panoramic feel of having the polka dot zombie towels side by side. You could even swap the towels and have our fearless heroine fighting off zombies on either side of her. Good things she came prepared with a crowbar!
Yay for the Zombie Apocalypse!
Hope some of you enjoy these Zombie Halloween Kitchen Towels and if you’re not such a big fan of the undead, I promise, you know someone who is! Feel free to grab the free file below (for personal use only.)
