Fourth of July Pillow Cover

Time needed: 15 minutes.

Use the free SVG file and super easy tassel tutorial to make this patriotic Fourth of July Pillow Cover in just minutes!

Supplies needed:
– Everyday Iron-On Vinyl (red & blue)
– 2 Skeins Embroidery Floss (red & blue)
– Large Upholstery Needle
– Digital Cutting Machine (I highly suggest the Cricut Maker!)
– Iron or Cricut EasyPress
– Blank Iron On Pillow Cover

1. Free SVG File

   You can grab the free SVG Fourth of July Pillow Cover by entering your email below. Pull the file into your digital cutting machine program and cut the two different colors out of vinyl.
   
   

2. Layer Vinyl Colors

   Working one color at a time, lay out the vinyl design in the center of the pillow cover and press in place with either an iron or EasyPress. Repeat step with the next color. Set aside to cool.
   
   

3. Tassel Making

   Each embroidery floss skein will make two tassels. Remove the paper tags from the skein and carefully open to a circle. Cut two 12″ sections of thread off of skein and use that to tie a knot at the top and bottom. Make sure to leave the threads long so you can use it to attach to pillow.
   
   

4. Finish Tassel

   Cut skein in half through the center and tie another piece of thread about an 1″ down from the top to create the finished tassel.
   
   

5. Attach to pillow

   String top through the upholstery needle and thread into each of the corners.
