I’m going to let you guys in on a little secret…I’m absolutely terrible about prepping before a party. Between running after two crazy boys most days and my propensity for procrastination, I just can’t seem to get ahead before get-togethers. Hopefully, one of these days I won’t be chopping or cooking food in the kitchen when our guests arrive but until then I’ve got a super easy Brazilian Lemonade Ice Cream Punch recipe that doesn’t take more than minutes to assemble!
Sweet Ice Cream
If you’ve never had the traditional version of Brazilian Lemonade, you are totally missing out. It’s basically a combination of limeade and sweetened condensed milk which sounds really basic but oh my goodness, it really is so refreshing and delicious!
I’ve adapted this recipe to include homemade ice cream and I, personally, think it’s even better than the real thing. The ice cream only has two ingredients, sweetened condensed milk and heavy whipping cream, and is super easy to make ahead of time. It’s kinda amazing how this simple creamy mixture magically turns into super smooth ice cream. All without an ice cream maker!
Party Day
Since the ice cream can be made as far as a week in advance, all I have to worry about on the actual party day is to make the limeade. You can always either make it by hand or go the easy way and just buy a couple frozen cans of limeade concentrate. Obviously, I’m always crunched for time right before a party so frozen limeade is an absolute lifesaver for me!
If I have enough time (and that’s a pretty big if!), I find it really useful to have pre-scooped servings of ice cream ready for the guests to add to their cups. You can keep them cool over a tray of ice or in a small cooler off to the side of the limeade. Makes assembly so much easier!
Punch It Out
Doesn’t get easier than that, right? Just pour the limeade over a generous scoop of ice cream in each glass, sip, and enjoy. I love how the limeade has to travel through the layer of sweet ice cream before it touches your taste buds. So refreshing, delicious, and oh-so-easy to make!
