Making a place to hold your fresh flowers has never been cuter or easier than this Spring Fairy Garden Basket!
It should come as no surprise that I’m sorta madly in love with this Spring Fairy Garden Basket. This may look familiar if you remember the Fairy Door Planter I made a few years back. I can’t help it, I just love adding cute little embellishments to practical items!

Spring Fairy Garden Basket
To make your own Spring Fairy Garden Basket you’ll need the following supplies:
- Green Basket (I thrifted mine!)
- Glue Gun
- 1 pkg Reindeer Moss
- Fairy Garden Accessories
- Faux Stones with Moss
You may have noticed that I didn’t give links to the exact items I used on my basket. That’s because more than likely, our baskets are probably going to be different sizes. The basket I used was about 8″ high so I used a fairy door that was sized appropriately. There are tons of fairy door options on Amazon or at Michael’s so I’m sure you’ll be able to find the perfect size.
Once you’ve got all the fairy accessories, apply an ample amount of hot glue to the back of the door and press in place on your basket. I even added more hot glue into the edges to make sure it was secure. Next, squeeze out more hot glue onto the basket and apply moss.
Working one small section at a time, continue to add moss around entire basket until completely filled in.
Now you can add the fun part…the fairy accessories! I added the faux stones (don’t they look so real?!) around the door and then also small clusters of them on the sides of the basket. Feel free to add more if you’ve got them!
With the stones in place, now you can add the smaller embellishments to really personalize the basket. I decided to go a bit minimal and just added a scattering of small mushrooms. Wouldn’t small gardening tools or a little gnome bench look great too?
Ready to Enjoy Spring
With your Spring Fairy Garden Basket completed, all you need now is something to fill it with! I added some pretty flowers to mine for this tutorial but was also planning on using it as a utensil holder for our annual Easter brunch. There’s just so many different ways to use this adorable basket!
