Kids are just like adults when it comes to tailgating…some love it, some don’t, some go just for the food (like me!) Whether your kids are crazy about football or not, they’re going to love making these Football Snack Trays that they can even eat out of! Thanks to Cape Cod® Potato Chips for inspiring this fun and practical tutorial.
If you know that you’re kids are eventually going to be bored at a football gathering, I highly suggest printing a few of these out and taking them with you. It’s really one of the most basic of origami folds and depending on age, will only take them a few minutes to master. You could even bring enough printables for the whole party and enlist the kids’ help for everyone. They’ll feel useful and you won’t have to hear them whine about how bored they are!
Folding this Football Snack Tray is as easy as 1-2-3! Start by folding the page in half lengthwise, with the “laces” facing down. Fold the sides in to meet the center and then fold all four corners in as well. Fold the corners in one more time and then carefully flip inside out. Tada! Sounds much harder when I try to explain it with words so just follow the pictures, it’ll be easier!
You can either make these just for fun or put them to good use as snack trays! Since the ink is completely dry, I’m not that worried about food coming in contact with the paper but if you are, just lay a paper towel down before adding your snack. And since we’re talking about snacks, can I just say how much we love Cape Cod® Potato Chips? My kids adore the Original chips but I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for the Sea Salt and Vinegar.
Whatever the flavor, you can be sure that they’ll have the perfect crispness that this New England favorite is known for! Did you guys know that these potato chips are still made the same way they were originally in the small storefront of Hyannis, Massachusetts. If it’s not broke, right? Whether we’re taking them to a football gathering or munching on them for a movie night at home, Cape Cod Potato Chips are the perfect snack! You can find out more information here.
Hope you and your family enjoy making these Football Snack Trays for the next big game! Maybe it’ll give you a few more minutes of sanity before the boredom kicks in!
