Top 5 Reasons You NEED the Cricut Rotary Blade!

Published: Jan 9, 2019 · Modified: Feb 23, 2020 · by Vanessa Brady · This post may contain affiliate links and ads · Leave a Comment

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.

Still on the fence whether you absolutely need the Cricut Rotary Blade? I’ll help you make up your mind!

In case you haven’t heard, Cricut Maker is an amazing cutting machine that can manipulate materials as thin as crepe paper and fabric or as thick as chipboard and leather. The Adaptive Tool System™ allows you to easily switch out any of the Cricut blades for quick and precise cutting, including the rotary blade that I’ll go into detail about below!

Top 5 Reasons You NEED the Cricut Rotary Blade:

    1. Cuts Fabric

Although fabric cutting is the most obvious reason to get the rotary blade, I felt it was important to start here. I mean, when you really think about it, how cool is that? The Cricut Shop even has beautiful fabric to choose from. Now you can leave the tedious job of cutting out patterns to a machine and enjoy what you really want to do…sew!

    2. Accuracy

With the ability to glide and turn within a quarter of an inch, the rotary blade, by its very nature, will be more accurate than its handheld equivalent. Avoiding intricate shapes and patterns because you don’t want to cut them out with scissors is a thing of the past. Plus, if you use it so much that it becomes dull, there’s a Rotary Blade Replacement Kit that will get you up and running in no time!

    3. Speed

Anyone who regularly sews knows how exhausting cutting out the same exact shape dozens of times can be. Holy hand cramp, Batman! The Cricut Maker Rotary Blade can cut 3 layers of fabric at a time giving your hands a much needed rest. For best results, I highly recommend also picking up the Cricut FabricGrip™ cutting mat. While you’re at it, might as well add the Washable Fabric Pen to your cart. It’s perfect for marking darts!

    4. Cricut Design Space

Don’t know what sewing project you want to tackle next? Thanks to the
Cricut® Library, you’ve got hundreds of ideas just waiting for you over in Design Space. Cricut even partnered with some of your favorite brands to offer patterns that are perfect for the rotary blade. I can’t wait to make the Half Hexie Quilt for my daughter!

    5. More Free Projects from T&T!

And the most important reason you NEED a Cricut rotary blade…I’ll be adding tons of free sewing patterns from here on out and I’d love for you to join in the fun! We’re talking free purse patterns, easy felt cutouts, and who knows what else. I’m pretty sure there’ll be at least a couple baby clothes patterns. I promise, you don’t want to miss out so go now to get your rotary blade!
