I don’t know about you guys but sometimes I just want a super simple project that doesn’t involve 20 different supplies and 5 different machines. Usually it’s something that I can whip together in under 20 minutes so that I can entertain my kids while getting work done. These super easy Halloween Window Clings totally fits the bill and my kids still love to play with it even a year after the original tutorial was written for Crafts Unleashed!
Halloween Window Clings
Materials:
- Grafix Cling Vinyl
- “Halloween Window Clings” Free Printables (Pumpkin, Features)
- Cutting Machine or Sharp Scissors
Step One. I cut out my shapes by hand because honestly, it would have taken me more time to clear space on my craft table to set up my cutting machine. Just print the “Halloween Window Clings” Free Printables on the back of the cling vinyl and cut. Easy peasy, right?! You might have to trim down the vinyl to fit inside your printer. If you’re using a cutting machine (like Silhouette), open the PDFs in the Studio editing software and select trace to transform lines to cut.
Step Two. Repeat step one for the pumpkin and green stem detail. Remove paper backing and enjoy creating your very own pumpkin design!
Ready for fun!
These window clings are so much fun and the options for creating one for each holiday are endless! They’re pretty easy to find in most craft stores but I’ve also seen something similar in office stores as well. I like to surprise my kids and put the clings up at night for them to discover in the morning. They love creating new Jack-o-Lanterns over and over and I love that I can enjoy my cup of coffee for five extra minutes!
One week before Halloween! Is everyone done with preparations and costumes? Me neither. Hopefully this project will give you a few more minutes of work time! *fingers crossed*
