Big thank you to Martha Stewart Crafts, Traditional Medicinals, Rubbermaid, and Smithfield for providing the materials for this project! All thoughts and opinions are my own as always.
Is everyone ready for Thanksgiving next week? Yeah, me neither. No worries there’s still plenty of time to customize your special meal with a few easy handmade projects like this Stenciled Lace Table Runner! I don’t have a lot of free time (Crazy busy time of year for bloggers!) so personal projects like this one have to be super easy and quick. Since I finished this runner in under 30 minutes, I even had time to unwind over a cup of Traditional Medicinals tea while catching up on the latest Martha Stewart Living. Just what this frazzled blogger needed!
Lovely Lace
All you need to make the Stenciled Lace Table Runner is a plain runner, lace stencil, metallic paint, and spouncers (specific sponges made for stenciling.) I’ve found that a few dabs from a glue stick on the back of the stencil can help prevent shifting during application. Apply a bit of paint evenly to the spouncer and begin distributing over the stencil. No worries if some spots are lighter than others. We’re going for a lovely handmade look here! Allow to dry before continuing.

Don’t Forget The Napkins
I love how the metallic paint looks over the basic muslin fabric of my table runner. I decided to go simple and not to cover the entire runner but how awesome would it look completely stenciled as well! The natural elements and colors seem to work perfectly with these beautiful Paper Napkin Rings from Martha Stewart.
Full of Thanks
Between my Stenciled Lace Table Runner and Martha Stewart’s Paper Napkin Rings, I feel like I’m at least partially ready for Thanksgiving now. I’ll just have to pick up a few Rubbermaid containers to send leftovers home with guests and I’ll be good to go!
Thankful for You!
For you meat lovers out there, I thought it would be fun to have a giveaway for one package of Smithfield Bacon and one Smithfield Spiral Ham as a way of saying “Thank You” for being a loyal reader! I’ll even include the awesome recipe card for Leftover Ham & Bacon Hash. All you have to do is complete the entries in the Rafflecopter widget below. Good luck!
