When hosting your own, you can either provide pumpkins for everyone (if it’s a small party) or tell people to bring your own. Make sure you have plenty of Pumpkin Masters kits available for your guests. They’re reasonably priced patterns that come with safe carving tools and are available at your local grocery, drug, or craft store, and online. All of the kids in our family are under 5 so the safety aspect of the kits was a must!
The kids loved scooping out all the ooey-gooey guts of the pumpkin! The scoops were perfectly sized to fit in their hands. We, of course, made sure to save the pumpkin seeds!
My 4 year old really enjoyed the kit that was meant for young children. The simple patterns were easy to transfer and my son got a huge kick out of the plastic eye inserts. Highly recommend this kit if you have small kids!
Made a little video of the fun we had…
Ready to plan your own Pumpkin Carving Party?! How about some free printable invites?
All you have to do is print and cut out the shapes, remove the mouth with either sharp scissors or a craft knife, and then attach the two pieces with a small brad through the center. Use a white or metallic pen to add your information and you’re good to go!
I made the invitation the perfect size to fit in a CD envelope. You might have to pay a little more for postage but the envelopes are easy to find and cheap. Plus, how much fun would it be to open up your mailbox and see one of these little guys staring back at you!
