You know how they say there’s a season for everything? Well, I’m smack dab in the middle of a new baby season. Good thing I love holding and smelling and loving up on squishy new babies! I started making these New Baby Survival Kits to bring over for the new parents because, let’s face it, as adorable as new babies are, that’s a tough job!

Easy As Pie

Since I was planning on making a few of these boxes, I knew I couldn’t spend too much time decorating them. I quickly designed and cut “Sweet Child of Mine” out of vinyl and applied it to the front of the pretty (and inexpensive!) document boxes I found at a big box store. I’m hoping that the parents use the box to store special memories and photos of their sweet baby long after the kit has been used up. Plus, who can resist jamming out to the classic Guns N’ Roses tune every time they see the box!

Filled With Love

Now to fill the box with tons of useful supplies! I added a few things that I remember totally saved me when my boys were born: a favorite toy, a teething necklace, a quick snack, invigorating vitamin drink, note cards, and, of course, JOHNSON’S® HEAD-TO-TOE™ Extra Moisturizing products.
