Laundry Room Lint Collector

20 March 2017 by Vanessa Brady 8 Comments

I’m sharing #Tide in my life as part of a Tide sponsored series for Socialstars™

Use the free cutting file to make this cute Laundry Room Lint Collector!I don’t know about you guys but in our house, we have to have dedicated spaces for almost everything or else the house turns into a pigsty. This is especially true in our small laundry room because it also stores cleaning supplies, dog accessories, and outdoor shoes. I got fed up with seeing a collection of lint in the corner next to our dryer so I came up with this super easy (and cute!) Laundry Room Lint Collector. Now I won’t cringe every time I clean out the lint from our dryer!

Laundry Room Lint Collector - LaundryHaving a dedicated lint collector in the laundry room isn’t just about appearance. I hate doing laundry so much that any thing that makes it a little easier is an absolute necessity! Another essential shortcut that helps me get the laundry done is Tide® PODS™ Plus Downy®. The 4 in 1 technology (detergent, stain remover, brightener, Downy Fabric Protect) cleans and protects all in one step.

With two young boys who enjoy running around outside, I totally depend on Tide® PODS™ Plus Downy® HE Turbo technology to provide 6x the cleaning power in half the time. I’m too busy having fun with my kids to waste any time in the laundry room! I know that even my delicates will be protected now with the addition of Downy® to the Tide® PODS™ formula I know and love. As with all detergents, make sure to keep Tide® PODS™ Plus Downy® out of reach from children.

Laundry Room Lint Collector - VinylTo make your own Laundry Room Lint Collector, all you need is a receptacle of some sort (I loved the look of this metal milk can found at a local craft store), vinyl in two coordinating colors, and the free “Laundry, Lint, & Love” cutting file (download below). I added two square markers at the top of the cutting template to help with easy placement. I liked the way two colors looked on my tin but you’re welcome to just use the words without the background color. You could even print the PDF on paper and adhere it to any surface as well!

Laundry Room Lint Collector - LintNow, when I walk into our laundry room, I can’t help but smile when I see this lint collection tin because it’s totally true. Our house has endless laundry, lint, and love and I wouldn’t have it any other way! There may be no way around getting laundry done but at least I know I can count on two things: 1. The lint will end up in it’s proper place and 2. I can depend on Tide® PODS™ Plus Downy® to clean, brighten, fight stains and protect my clothes every time I do laundry. Now if only I could figure out a way to get my kids to put the laundry away…oh well, a girl can dream!

Hah, that pink was all over this house when we bought it and the laundry room is the only place it's survived. Adds a bit of fun to a normally boring chore!

That is such a cute decoration idea! I don't know if I would get it down to put lint in it, but I do think it is adorable! Thanks for sharing with us at Funtastic Friday!
