Handmade Holiday Candy Dish
Materials:
- Small Metal Tins (I used an 8″ star tin and a 5″ one)
- Various Wood Turnings
- Americana Decor Chalky Paint (red, white)
- Holiday Themed Scrapbook Paper
- Americana Decor Chalky Paint
Step 1. Add a layer of red chalk paint to the wood findings.
Step 2. Paint the outer edges of the star tins with white chalky paint.
Step 3. Use star base as a template to cut the right size of paper.
Step 4. Use Mod Podge to adhere the paper in place and coat entire dish with a protective layer.
Step 5. Once Mod Podge is completely dry, use hot glue gun to stick the wood findings in place.
Now you’ve got a super cute Handmade Holiday Candy Dish that is perfect to offer any guests a treat or two! I love that this project can be totally customized with different colors or papers to match your personality or decor. You could even leave the rusted tins and wood findings their natural colors and just glue them together for an even easier candy dish. The options are totally yours!
