I’ve had this XL tea cup planter since Max was born three years ago. We used it for his Maxwell’s House baby announcement pictures (Heh, get it? :D) and then promptly forgot about it until I was cleaning for my Teeny Tiny Craft Room Tour. I’ve always thought it was super cute but kinda plain and needed a little something more. Silhouette Cameo to the rescue!
After measuring the space I wanted to fill, I cut “Hola.” for the front of the planter and “Adios.” for the back from some red Silhouette Indoor/Outdoor Vinyl. After weeding away the excess vinyl, I applied the words to the planter with some transfer paper. The grid on the Silhouette Transfer Paper made it super easy to make sure the words were straight and even.
All that was left to do was add some pretty flowers and place on front porch (which is in need of some serious attention…hint hint…The Home Depot.) Such a quick and easy way to add some welcoming cheer to our entrance…
and good tidings to our guests as they exit!

I try to do some kind of art each day. I couldn’t for a long time and some days it’s a fight but I started putting an old local small phone book in my tote and a brush marker and even working on line drawing in waiting rooms. I just got a silhouette in the last month! So much fun but I have not used anything but card stock. What a neat idea for outside. Love the cup!

I love playing with vinyl on the silhouette as there are so many places to “stick it,” however freezer paper stencils are a close second.
Love how simple and darling this teacup is!
