but my love for their new cordless drill is all my own!
What’s your favorite emoji? I know you have one, we all do! I’m a big fan of the “laughing through tears” one but the “cringing teeth” one is a close second. Of course, the “poop” one is great too! That’s why, when I saw four small (and inexpensive!) folding tables at a thrift store the other day, I knew exactly what I was going to do with them…Emoji Folding Side Tables!
But First Supplies
Since I got these second hand, I can’t tell you where to buy the exact same tables. Believe me, I’ve looked all over the internet for a similar type and while some come close, none of them were perfectly the same. If you want to use the free Emoji Folding Side Tables patterns without resizing it, you should look for similar tables that are about 16″ wide. Of course, they can be any type of table (not necessarily folding) or any size if you’re willing to adjust the pattern accordingly.
The Perfect Yellow
First things first, I removed the legs so that I could easily spray paint the tops of the tables. Since they were originally black, I spray painted two coats of white primer and allowed that to dry completely before adding two additional coats of yellow. Definitely take your time while doing this so that you don’t get any bubbles or drips. It’s a lengthy process but you can work on the vinyl in between coats.
So Many Emotions
Cutting the vinyl is relatively straight forward. Just use my “Emoji Folding Side Tables” files to either cut by hand (PDF) or with a machine (SVG). I’ve also included a layout file that should help with the proper placement of the faces. Just position the “X” on the paper in the center of the table and eyeball where to lay everything. I was able to keep some of the pieces together during cutting (winking eyes) so if it’s easier, use transfer paper for those. Don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be perfect!

Last Step
The only thing left to do is re-attach the legs to the tables again. By the way, I disassembled the tables with just a screwdriver and reassembled them with a drill and let me tell you, the BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX* Lithium Cordless Drill made the job go by so much quicker! It’s light-weight, compact, and cordless so I know it’s ready to go when I need it. We have a larger drill in the garage for heavy duty DIY projects but it’s nice to have something smaller for the little jobs like putting these tables together!

Two features on the Black and Decker 20 volt Max Lithium drill is that it has an LED light and it is light weight. Those are two favorite features I like in a product. This week I am assembling some new bird and bat houses. Cordless drills make this project easy and enjoyable to do. Thank you for your adorable emoji table how to article and for this giveaway! Keep cool!

I don’t think I could pull of the designs on your tables, but I like the idea of making TV trays similar to what you have. We usually eat at the kitchen table, but for those times when we eat from the couch, TV trays would be a great thing to have. I could even make the legs wooden, as opposed to the ones on your tables.
