Happy New Year everyone! So crazy that it’s already 2015, right? I swear we were just partying like it was 1999 last year! I guess we’ve been having fun because time sure has flown by. One of my resolutions for last year was to try and be a little more organized with my personal and business life. I made this easy Chalkboard Birthday Calendar for Crafts Unleashed last year and it’s totally helped with remembering important dates. Hope it helps you guys as well too!

Chalkboard Birthday Calendar
Materials:
- Â 7″x10″ Chalkboard
- White Paint Marker
- White Graphite Paper
- Fine Sandpaper
- Ribbon (optional)
- Craft Paint (optional)
- Chalk Marker
- Free Chalkboard Birthday Calendar Printable
Step One. Print and cut the Free Chalkboard Birthday Calendar Printable. Layer the free printable and graphite paper over the chalkboard surface and trace image with a pencil or pen. You’ll notice that I switched from cursive lettering for the months to block letters. Much easier!
Step Two. Use a fine point permanent paint pen to trace over the graphite tracing. Allow to dry completely before using the fine sandpaper to erase any noticeable graphite lines.
Step Three. You can either leave the frame plain or add paint and ribbon embellishments. The choice is totally yours! I decided to add a satin ribbon to the top of mine and affixed it in place with a glue gun. I like how the satin plays off the chalkboard look!
Step Four. Use a fine tipped chalk marker to enter in the birthdays of your friends and family!

Make sure to hang the Chalkboard Birthday Calendar somewhere you’ll always look at so that you’ll never forget another birthday again. (fingers crossed) Hope 2014 2015 is a wonderfully awesome year for you!

Beautiful! I always make a goal to send more birthday cards at the beginning of the year. I’m never great about following through, but hope this year will be different!

This is such an adorable idea!! I was looking for a fun way to display birthdays that I can give to my husband’s grandma – family is everything to her and she always wants to remember everyone’s birthdays. This would be perfect for her! Pinning 🙂

I love that this isn’t bulky like some of the other Birthday Calendars I’ve seen. Super cute!
