What are your opinions on essential oils? To tell you the truth, I kinda feel like I missed the boat on them. I mean, I’ve always loved the scents and have been adding them to bath scrubs and household cleaners for years but I’m totally clueless when it comes to any sort of medicinal qualities. Luckily, this Essential Oils Diffuser Necklace can be enjoyed whether you’re a seasoned oil aficionado or a novice like me!
Take Me Away
I’ve suffered from headaches and migraines since I was little and eventually discovered just how amazing lavender and peppermint were to ease the pain. I’ve used creams and air diffusers but it’d be nice to have something to take on the go with me like this necklace! Now, if I feel like it’s going to be a “headache” kind of day (Ugh, migraine sufferers totally know what I mean!), I’ll add a few drops of peppermint and lavender essential oils to the pompom in this necklace and carry it around my neck. If my head actually starts to hurt, I’ll take nice big whiffs from the necklace in hopes that it’ll tide me over until I can take some medicine or go lay down. Ugh, I hate migraines!

Essential Oils Necklace Diffuser
Materials:
- Locket Charm
- Assorted Charms (optional)
- Chain
- Frame Charm (optional)
- 1/2″ Hercules Tape (optional)
- 3/4″ Pom Pom
- Jewelry Pliers
Step One. The great thing about this necklace is that you can either keep it super simple and just hang the locket charm on a chain, add a pompom, some oil, and you’re done. You can also add a little bit more personality, though, with a few extra charms. I added a frame charm with a hand drawn sentiment that helps me find my calm. You, of course, can use any word that will help you throughout the day!
Step Two. I’m kinda crazy about asymmetrical jewelry right now so I thought it’d be fun to add a small brass rose near the top of my necklace as well. The perfect finishing touch!
Step Four. Once your necklace is done, just add a few drops of your desired oil to a pom pom and secure inside of the locket. Now you’re ready to tackle your day!
Smell You Later
I absolutely love the look of this vintage-style necklace and the fact that it actually helps me? Total win/win! Consumer Crafts also has another locket design that I’m totally going to make another necklace with. Because we’re smack in the middle of summer and the kids are WEARING me down, I’ve been adding a lot of invigorating citrus blends to my pom pom lately. I need all the help I can get! Hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial and find it useful in your lives!
