It only takes a few supplies and can be finished in under 15 minutes. Awesome, right? DIY Recycled Snow Globe - Fun!

    Materials:

    • 3 1/2″ Round Disk
    • Recycled Beverage Container (approx. same diameter as disk)
    • Small Fake Tree
    • Small Figurine
    • Fake Styrofoam Snow
    • Glue Gun
    • Tacky Glue
    • Ribbon
    • Wood Ball
    • Awl

DIY Recycled Snow Globe - Supplies

Step 1. Begin by gluing your snow globe items in place with a glue gun. If you’re working with smaller kids, you can either use Tacky Glue or complete this step for them.

DIY Recycled Snow Globe - GlueStep 2. Apply a generous amount of Tacky Glue to the wood base.

DIY Recycled Snow Globe - Snow GlueStep 3. Working over a container to catch the extra, pour the styrofoam pellets onto the wood base until covered. Allow to dry for a few minutes.

DIY Recycled Snow Globe - PelletsStep 4. Apply hot glue to the outer rim of wood base and cover with recycled beverage container. The height of your container is dependent on the size of your tree and figurine. Mine is approximately 5″ tall.

DIY Recycled Snow Globe - CoverStep 5. Use hot glue and ribbon to cover the base of the snow globe. Add additional decorations like a bow or garland.

DIY Recycled Snow Globe - RibbonStep 6. Remove cap and fill with more snow pellets.

DIY Recycled Snow Globe - FillStep 7. Wrap cap with more ribbon and adhere wood ball to top.

DIY Recycled Snow Globe - CapStep 8. Done and done! You’ve now got a super cute DIY Recycled Snow Globe to enjoy for years to come.

In addition to how easy this project is to make, I love that it’s totally customizable! I went with a small snowman but how sweet would this snow globe look with small deer or even a mini nativity scene. You can keep it a super easy 15 minute project or take your time and add even more embellishments and details. Whatever your choice, I hope you have a great time making one!
