If you read this blog long enough, you know just how much I love teachers and the incredible work they do for our youngsters. They really should be paid millions for all the time, effort, and love they provide every day of the school year!
During the quarantine, they’re even more amazing for adapting their lessons to virtual learning at a moment’s notice. This upcoming year will be difficult but one thing I can promise, your child’s teacher will be 100% committed to making sure their needs are met!
Making the Chalkboard
Making your own Custom Chalkboard Back To School Gift is super easy! All you need is a small decorative chalkboard, some white vinyl, and a Cricut machine.
No vinyl? No problem!
I used Iron-On Transfer Paper for Dark Fabrics from OnlineLabels.com and it worked perfectly! The process is about the same. Just grab one of the free files below. You can customize and print over on OnlineLabels.com or grab the svg at the end of this post to pull directly into Design Space.
Reminder: DO NOT flip the wording if you plan on using transfer paper for dark fabrics. Don’t make the same mistake I made!
Once the words have been cut, just remove the paper backing and position on the chalkboard. Use a protective sheet over the wording and iron in place. I used an EasyPress Mini and it worked perfectly!
