I’m in Salt Lake City right now for a blogging conference (SNAP!) and I made sure to pack my new favorite bracelet (originally created for Crafts Unleashed)! I’m not sure what I like better…the natural beauty of the stones mixed with the ruggedness of the leather or the fact that it only took me about 20 minutes with no fancy jewelry supplies to make. Either way, this beaded leather bracelet diy is a win/win for everyone!
Beaded Leather Bracelet
Materials:
– Leather Bracelet with Snaps
– Natural Stone Strands –Â 2Â (I used Seafoam)
– White Beading Thread
Instructions:
1. Cut a 20″ strand from the white beading thread. That should be plenty long enough but don’t worry if you do come up short, you can always tie another strand in. Begin by threading the end of the strand through the first hole and stringing three beads (or how ever many it takes to cover the width of the bracelet). Push the thread through the opposite hole and secure with a double knot to the other end of the strand in the back. Trim off excess string.
2. Thread the strand through to the other end of the row and up through the next row. I know this is starting to sound difficult but it really isn’t! All you’re doing is beading the stones on one row at a time. Super easy, I promise! One thing, though, if you find that you’re having a problem with the thread fraying at the end, a little bit of Mod Podge or clear nail polish will help prevent it.
3. Continue to string the beads until all the rows are filled in.
4. When you reach the end of the bracelet, make a double knot on the back of the leather to secure the strand. Tada!!!
How super cute is the finished bracelet?! I love the masculine touch the leather gives to the beautiful finished stones. Hope you enjoyed this beaded leather bracelet diy, I’d love to see what versions you come up with on Instagram! (Just make sure to follow and tag me so that I can see it!)
