Make Reusable Washi Tape strips that you can use over and over!

You know how the saying goes that the only certainties in life are death and taxes? Well, I’ve got one to add to the list. I’m fairly certain that if you’re crafty, you’re probably crazy about washi tape. With beautiful colors and fun designs, how could you not?!

In fact, washi tape is so loved, there’s a new blog 100% devoted to Washi Tape Crafts! So, if this tutorial tickles your fancy, jump over to Washi Tape Crafts for even more washi goodness.

Reusable Washi Tape | Tons of Options! In the next few steps, I’m going to show you how to make your washi tape reusable. By using Scotch Restickable Strips, you can use your favorite design over and over to, let’s say, hang your kid’s art up on the fridge but won’t have to worry about going completely through your supply of tape. Also, the clear reusable strips maintain the translucent nature of washi tape that everyone knows and loves!

A word of caution though, these strips are strong! Please be careful when placing directly on a photograph or anything else that’s really special to you.

Reusable Washi Tape

Materials:
– Scotch Restickable Strips (1″x3″)
– Washi Tape

Instructions:
1. Peel off one of the reusable adhesive strips, making sure to keep the plastic protective sheet on the back on. Lay flat on your table with the sticky side up (plastic sheet down.) Affix two strips of washi tape straight down the middle. My tape was too wide to get both strips to fit perfectly so I just ended up trimming the sides as I completed the next step.

2. Cut the adhesive strip straight down the middle. Trim off any excess. Cut the ends of the strips to resemble the torn edges of washi tape.

That is a great idea! I love the Instagram photos! Is that just a piece of paper you are taping them to?
