I may be going out on a ledge here but I gotta tell you guys, I absolutely love everything about Valentine’s Day! Seeing pink in all the stores, the endless offerings of chocolate, cute “fluffed” animals (what my five year old calls “stuffed animals”), I seriously love it all. Sure, I know that it’s a fabricated holiday created to sell more greeting cards but a day devoted to love can’t be a bad thing, right? Since I love making wreaths just as much, I thought it would be fun to recreate a popular treat in this Chocolate Valentine’s Day Wreath. It has all of the fun of a box of chocolates without any of the calories!

Chocolate Valentine’s Day Wreath
Materials:
- Durafoam 1 7/8? Balls – 2 Packages of 6
- Darice Fuschia Crepe Paper Streamers
- Darice Floral Pins
- Foam Wreath – 12“
- 3D Fabric Paint – Pink and White
- Brown Paint
- Dairce White Candy Cups
- Styrofoam Glue
- Hot Glue Gun
- “Life Is Sweet” Free Printable Banner
Step 1. Cover the foam wreath with the crepe paper streamer. Use the floral pins to secure.
Step 2. Use a craft knife to carefully cut the foam balls in half.
Step 3. Apply multiple coats of brown paint over the halved foam balls. Make sure to allow the paint to dry completely between coats.
Step 4. Once you’re happy with the look of your “chocolates” and the paint has dried completely, use the 3D paint to apply additional detail to the top of each. You can just copy my designs or look through Google for your own chocolate inspiration!
Step 5. Apply a generous dollop of foam glue to the back of each ball and press into the paper cup. Allow to dry completely before using hot glue to attach each chocolate to the front of the wreath.
Step 7. Print and assemble the Life Is Sweet Free Banner and attach to the front with your hot glue gun. If needed, tie a piece of twine or ribbon around the top to hang.
How adorable (and yummy!) will this Chocolate Valentine’s Day Wreath look hanging in your house or office? Hope you have a fun time making one of your own and have a positively delicious Valentine’s Day!
