I’ve got to confess something to you guys…I am the messiest person ever. No, really. Growing up my nickname was “messy” and some of my relatives still call me that to this day. I totally need this 12 month cleaning schedule.
When it comes to keeping my house clean, I need a schedule that will work with my limited amount of free time and keep my kids from living in the muck!

I’ve been using a 12 Month Cleaning Schedule that allows me to focus on one thing a month to deep clean and it’s been working pretty well! I try to tidy up the house here and there (which becomes now and then!)
This stuff might come as second nature to some of you amazing housewives out there. For me, if I don’t see it on a list, I won’t do it!

May is Garage Cleaning
May is all about getting the garage and yard ready for Summer on the 12 month cleaning schedule. I picked up the Rubbermaid FastTrack garage set from Amazon last week. It’ll help us organize the gardening tools mess that usually resides in the corner of our garage.
I got my husband to help install it so that I could take pictures of the process. It was so ridiculously easy to put in that I totally could have done it myself. (And I’m not usually the DIY sort!)
The only thing we had to adjust was using different anchors for our thick adobe walls. Rubbermaid provides the white anchors which work perfectly if your house isn’t from 1937.
The provided anchors weren’t wide enough to span the thickness of our walls so we substituted. Not a big deal but good to know in case any of you live in older houses.
After you drill holes and insert anchors, the only thing left to do is make sure it’s level. Then just add screws and slide on the FastTrack sheath. I told you it was easy!
Pop on the attachments, hang your tools, and done. Everyone loves accessories and you’re going to adore these!
I like that it’s sturdy enough to hold heavy items like extension cords or machinery. It’s also easy enough to switch out the attachments to match our growing needs. We’re even thinking of buying more to add a bike rack along the bottom. Awesome, right?!

I’ve got a week and a half more of May and of cleaning out the garage. Even if I don’t get it all done, feels so good to have worked on it because of the 12 month cleaning schedule!

that is really a great idea………..I like to do spring cleaning but who says it has to be done all at once.
and I typically like to get things organized like my closet in January as well. So ……..think this would
work for me too.
Thanks for sharing it Vanessa.
blessings for a great New Year,

Thank you! It’s exactly what my husband and I need for our garage. Every time we start cleaning the garage it’s even a bigger mess. Now month by month we’ll get more organized. Thank you for the printable!
