    The Polar Express Bell Sign

Published: Nov 30, 2016 · Modified: Nov 30, 2018 · by Vanessa Brady · This post may contain affiliate links and ads · 10 Comments

This Polar Express Bell Sign is easy with the free vinyl cutting file!Growing up, I was a huge fan of pretty much any book written by Chris Van Allsburg but my absolute favorite was The Polar Express. What kid wouldn’t love the idea of a magical train picking you up to go to the North Pole to meet Santa? This Polar Express Bell Sign celebrates all of those wonderful childhood memories but is still super easy to make with my free cutting file!

Make sure to enter the awesome Expressions Vinyl giveaway below!

The Polar Express Bell Sign - Done

    Polar Express Bell Sign

    Materials:

    • Large Wood Tag
    • Matte Spray Sealer
    • Large Red Bell
    • Red Glitter Vinyl
    • Paper Transfer Tape
    • Red/White Rope
    • Other Embellishments
    • “Polar Express Bell Sign” Free Silhouette File

The Polar Express Bell Sign - SuppliesStep 1. Apply a couple light coats of the Matte Finish to the front of the wood tag. While that’s drying, use the “Polar Express Bell Sign” Free Silhouette File to cut the words from the red glitter vinyl. I had to adjust the blade setting to be slightly higher than standard vinyl (2) to cut perfectly through the glitter vinyl.

The Polar Express Bell Sign - VinylStep 2. Use paper transfer tape to get the words on the wood sign. You shouldn’t have a problem with them sticking thanks to the matte sealer.

The Polar Express Bell Sign - TransferStep 3. Add a new ribbon and bell to the top of the tag. I actually glued my bell in place so that it wouldn’t cover any of the wording but the choice is yours.

The Polar Express Bell Sign - EmbellishStep 4. Hang on any door knob so that when ever the door is opened, everyone knows you still believe!

The Polar Express Bell Sign - BelieveTotally easy, right? We’ll be loving this Polar Express Bell Sign for many years to come! Don’t forget to enter to win $50 from Expressions Vinyl below!

Hi I love all you cute ideas and hope to be able to start working with my silhouette machine. Loved that book Polar Express also and hope I can find it to read to my grandkids and great grandkids. Could you tell me where you get the wood tags? Thanks so much for all your freebies, with living on ss this helps this grammy make some neat gifts.

Thank you for the cut file, mine did not have a flag design around the words The Polar Express and I did not notice it until I had already cut it and placed it. Also there was a random c on the cut file I downloaded a second time to see if it was there and it was. I just erased it off. I just posted on my blog how I did mine and I put your link on my blog. Thank you again.

Thank you for the cut file, mine did not come with a flag around the bottom words. Plus, there was a random c on the end of the word believe, I downloaded it twice and it was still there. I took it off and it was fine.I could not find the shape of wood but, I did find a pack of chipboard that worked perfectly.

I just posted on my blog and I put your link on there. Please go and check out how I did mine. Again thank you for sharing the file.

I had the same issue as Evelyn with the cut file. There was no banner around the words at the bottom and there was a random c on the end of the word believe. I ordered the tags and bells and this project is next on my list!

I had the same issue as Evelyn–the cut file doesn’t have the banner at the bottom and there is a random c on the end of the word believe. I bought the tags and bells and this will be my next project. Thanks!
