Little Golden Book Shower: Invitation

invite2 The perfect place to start our Little Golden Book themed shower week is, of course, with the invitations! I was lucky enough to find a high resolution image of the inside cover and got those printed with a local company. The blue background paper and the white inset paper were cut and printed at home. After using a decorative punch for both the top and the bottom, I glued the white inset to the blue and then used foam separators (found in scrapbooking section) to attach them to the background. A bit involved, I know, but I really like how the final invitation came out!

Here are the files I used to make the invitations: Background (flickr)White Inset (illustrator file) & Lauren Script Font (dafont.com)

And, just in case you want a super easy invitation to print and customize, here’s an invite you can print out and fill in. Just click on the image and you can download and print from scribd:

    Hello Vanessa,
I’m trying to create my own invitations using the little golden background. I’m having a very hard time printing off on card stock with out it being blurry or pixelated. What kind of paper did you end up using and what size was your finish product? Thanks, Melody.
